CORALVILLE, IA, June 16, 2009 --Structured Dynamics today unveiled twin products that will bring exciting new structured data capabilities to the popular Drupal open source content management system. The first of these open source products is structWSF, a platform-independent Web services framework for RDF. It is paired with the conStruct module that links Drupal to this framework while leveraging existing Drupal capabilities.

I consider myself firstly a fan and evangelist of semantic wikis and secondly a provider of technologies and solutions that offer those capabilities to enterprises.  After spending several years following technologies related to this particular feature, on the eve of the Semantic Wiki session at the 2009 Semantic Technology conference next week, I wanted to offer some perspectives on Semantic Wikis and what the enterprises can hope to achieve from their deployments.

We’ve known about the Dublin Core (www.dublincore.org ) pretty much forever. We know it has a following in Library Science, and content management systems, and Adobe uses their tags as the basis for the XMP (www.adobe.com/products/xmp/). And we knew that at least one of the original architects for the Dublin Core, Eric Miller (www.w3.org/People/EM/ ) is now deeply invested in the Semantic Web.

I recently completed a high-profile deliverable for a major client. While I feel satisfaction for meeting the explicit goals of the project, I'm even happier that I've finally met goals that reflect some of my core motivations for working with information technology. To illustrate what I've done - and why - I'm going to use a specific event that happened over three years ago.
