Yet, despite its AI origin, it has rarely been integrated with semantic technologies like OWL, RDF, and SPARQL. nIn this talk we will discuss why automated planning is under-utilized in semantic technologies, and we’ll discuss a real-world example of how it can solve real-world problems. As a semantic technology, our automated planning solution combines the expressive power of OWL-based automated reasoning, via Pellet, with the power of hierarchical, domain-independent planning. As a real-world example, we will present Elastra’s automation architecture for configuration management in a cloud computing environment. Elastra uses planning to automate deployment of services onto virtualized environments.nThis presentation will explore the following topics:n DTSTART:20100625T110000 SUMMARY:Configuring the Cloud: Automated Planning As a Semantic Technology DTEND:20100625T115959 LOCATION:Imperial A END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
